There is a rattle noise coming from the passenger side air bag cover, expecially now with the lowered suspension. Does anyone else have this problem, any suggestions and tips to fix would be appreciated. The dealership told me they'd have to charge me to look at it.

I had this problem too. When I drove and someone put pressure on the bag it stoped making the noise. So, I used superglue and glued the edge where the noise was comming from...you can't notice the glue, we used very little, and the sound has been gone for 9 months now.

super glue

you said that you used super glue, what about in the case of an accident do you think that it might interfere with the air-bag from deploying. I will look into where it is rattling, but I think you are right it some seem to be an edge that is rubbing. Thanks for your help

you can remove the air bag cover and apply soft felt tape that can be purchased from courtesy nissan for 25% off discount. Thepart # 68239-13E00 $ 15.37

Make sure to disconnect the battery and wait for at least 5 minutes before proceeding.

The airbag opens with such force it can kill a kid. I doubt if a small amount of super glue could stop that...if it could it would be in their ads!

how do I go about removing the cover

Would you happen to have any instuctions on removing the air-bag cover, I dont know how to approach it. I read in the Chiltons to disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes but then which side do I try to lift to put any sort of felt tape?

You can try gently prying off the cover of the airbag see if its easily removable. Or you can ask Daniel B Martin, but then he might tell you to go buy a factory service manual.
