automatic magic

ok guy I'm now supercharged the only problem is I have an automatic car. Of the following options which one is the best. Now by best I don't mean cheapest but which one works the best for a daily driver. With your post could you include pro's and con's of each and why you picked the one you did. also where to get each option as well as a brief discription of each mod.

My car's a daily driver. Bought the car new in August '97, had the SC installed Oct. '00 and installed the Mobiltek VB and the B&M Supercooler tranny cooler by myself a year later.
Mobiltek is out of business and the B&M works fine in the pacific northwest. No con's on each one other than I wished I got a 5-spd at the outset.
I changed the Bosch blowoff valve for a Blitz as that helped driveability around town. I kept getting the odd engine cutout if I boosted and had to come to a stop quickly.
Btw this should be posted under the boosted forum!

As far as the cooler is concerned, I would buy a Tru-cool LPD cooler from Long Manufacturing. Lifetime Warranty, 15 times less flow restriction than standard coolers. They really do the trick!

Best on the market as far as I'm concerned. I've never installed one on a Nissan though. Mostly on Domestic cars. They do a good job in improving the shift quality and lube aspects of the transmission. It's definately worth the effort if you are getting a rebuild.

Granted I agree the mods would help any Auto, but a FI'ed auto or an extremly heavy modded auto, or even a motor swapped one will benifit from the upgrades more.
You should look into the VB mod w/cooler if your not going to do a 5-speed swap.

Hey sorry, I've been looking around for some details on the VB mod. Anyone have any links...?

I also like the shift_fast idea but since I changed my shifter around I dont mind shifting it in those situations.

5 speed would be the best but it's not going to happen anytime soon. what about the transgo kits how do they help and how would they compare to some of the other mods

From what I have read about them they are a good low budget upgrade. The shifting of them isnt as great as with the Maximum Tuning VB upgrade and they are mainly designed just to legnthen the life of the tranny.
