brake light stays on

Even tho i drop the brake lever, the brake light stays on. This has been happening on and off for a week now. Anybody else experiencing this problem?

Check the brake fluid level, it's low. Then check your pads, they might be low as well, as they wear the fluid level drops.

or get ready for the battery light to pop on and say hello to a new alternator......or just a bad switch on the brake lever

You're fixing a symptom, not a cause. There's a reason the brake fluid was low, are your pads worn down, do you have a leak somewhere?

When you get new brakes (put on, I presume), the master cylinder is going to overflow as they push the caliper pistons back in. Brake fluid is a lovely thing to have everywhere, especially on paint.
