Idle Issues

First off, I just want to say that I am using a friend's account to post this since mine isn't working.....

Anyway, I have a 98 Maxima SE 5 speed and recently started noticing a jumpy idle. On my way to work the other morning, I came to a stop at a red light, car in first with my foot on the clutch (obviously). My car usually idles at around 700 or 800rpm, but it jumped up to around 1500+ rpm then back down to about 1000. I knocked the car into neutral to see if that would stop it, to no avail. The car runs fine otherwise (no misfires or anything like that). I haven't owned the car for very long and haven't driven it in the cold yet, but part of me definitely thinks that there is something going on. A few of my friends have mentioned the possibility of the IACV or the TPS.

Has anyone else had this problem? If yes, what did it end up being? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

-Kimmy

I've cleaned the TB, tried adjusting the idle, changed the plugs and have also checked all the coil packs. Nothing works.

I am getting a code from the TCM, 3rd flash longer which should be the Throttle sensor, is that the same as the Throttle position sensor?
