ECU Question

Hey guys. I did some searching and cant seem to find the answer. Can a AT ECU work in a MT car? I think my ecu may be shot so i found one of ebay but its an AT.

Yes, bt the idle will be smei-erratic and there may a small # of ECU MIL codes with it.

The auto has many more sensors and electronics that the manual. If you plan on keeping it installed dont bother.

Whats your reasoning for this? I understand that its not the best thing to use but im using it for solely test to see if my ECU is dead. Thanks

if you're using it for testing, the ecu will work fine. you'll just throw a bunch of AT codes
