Sometimes inexpensive isn't better in terms of value. For example, say you paid $100 each for inexpensive 17" tires. Those tires could wear out in 20,000 miles, making them more expensive than $140 tires that last 30,000 miles.

I would recommend Dunlop SP5000's. They are relatively inexpensive, and mine have gone 22,000 miles and still have nearly 1/2 tread left. Good value for your money there and their dry traction is phenomenal.

I didn't see your E-mail until today, but I answered you in that. Pirelli P7000SS. About 160 (yeah pretty expensice), but they have a 320 tread rating, which is pretty high. Excellent grip too.

1.)E-bay, I think .org member Sweetsound2001 still has a set on E-Bay right now.
2.)Check the for sale forum, someone is usually selling them there.
