Help Please: Trunk lid needed!!!

I just got taken really badly at the local junkyard. I bought a rear trunk lid and it was just the right color and year for what I needed. The vehicle it came from was T-boned. I would have never thought that this could have affected the mounting area of the trunk lid and made an otherwise great piece completely unusable. Not only did it cost $300, but now I can't even mount my old one properly because it bent one of the mounting bars. The junkyard will only exchange the part... But that does me no good when they don't have another identical one.

To make matters worse, this is my daily driver.

I am now at a complete loss for words... SIGH!!!

If anyone has a '99 gold trunk lid w/spoiler that they could part with, please let me know. I've already lost $300 on this horrible deal... So any deals that someone may have would be great. I have very little money left thanks to this local junkyard.

Donations would be great!!!

p.s. Anyone needing a '96 gold trunk lid without a spoiler, shoot me an offer. I'll be selling mine soon.

Thanks,
Eric G.

Since the trunk lid from the junk yard was bent underneath at the very place that I had to mount it on the left side, it caused my mounting pillar to partially bend/twist after I tried installing it. Did I mention that the junk yard trunk lid was installed on my pillars, only to find during installation that the trunk lid was not sitting properly when we tried to mount the side that was apparently bent. There in lies my problem. Things only got worse from there. The interior nut broke inside the junk yard trunk lid during installation. The wreck seemed to partially break the welds on the mounting nuts on the left side of the trunk lid. Thus leaving me with a completely unusable trunk lid that I paid $300 for.

I have been screwed so many times on this car. I ended up having to buy a motor ($3,000) 8 months after buying the stupid thing. I prolly have about $14,000 in this car and it doesn't look it. I'm tired of my car looking like a beater when I have some much f..king money in it! It is a GXE BTW. This damn car has bled me dry.

I didn't think it was too funny... It hurt me pretty bad at the time. I just dropped five grand on the car to purchase it and then had to drop another 3 grand on the motor. I had to borrow money from my parents to afford to pay for it at the time. The car also needed just about everything imaginable to be replaced. I calculated the cost of the parts alone to be around 5 grand. So I easily have about $14,000 currently in the car. This is crazy for a 4th gen. And you can't tell it to look at the car.

I replaced the motor about two years ago. I checked with everyone in town and the going rate was $2,600-$4000. I chose the cheapest of the ones
I found.
