Those are just regular R34 -style headlights with a plug-n-play HID kit. They bundled it together as a combo. It's the same as buying the R34 lights and buying an HID kit like what I did.

I have only seen 3 cars with these lights on them. I am still not sure if I am going to get them. If anyone could post a few more pictures of the HID Beem pattern on the ground (not the Garage door look) that would be helpfull. I am not even sure if they would fit my I30 due to the fact that the I have a Blinker were the Maxi has a Cornering light!!! I think the they are shaped a little differant. I don't know! ! ! I just don't know ! ! !

your I30 does have different shaped fenders on that corner piece. So they would not be a direct fit. But anything is possible with $$ of course. You may want to look into the cefiro headlights. They fit your fenders beautifuly

I'd still like to know if the pictures that have already been provided show the correct adjustments or not.

They don't look aimed correctly.

These will not fit your I30 properly. You need to check out the cefiro lights- they are a direct fit for your car.

HIDs with projectors will help a lot, without projectors, it will still shoot everywhere...

tl bixenon

I have been looking around on the org, and hid planet for wiring the diode to the solenoid with Bixenon TL projectors.i havent really found my answer people are doing it different ways. does the diode go in series with the high beam wire then to the solenoid? or does it get installed in parallel from the low beam wire over to the high beam wire ie, that would be across the low and high beam wire.If so this would have to be done on each Solenoid someone mentioned you only need one. Also im getting R34 headlamps so stock harness is 9004 and i read here that you would need a 9006 harness, relays etc. Does this 9006 harness come with a female 9004 plug that plug into 9004 male from the stock harness? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure how you make it but I bought my bi-xenon <=> 9004 wire from p00tang. For the TL end of it, it would be easier if you get the wire for the solenoid.

From there, you can wrap the wires from the TL solenoid to the correct terminals on the bi-xenon <=> 9004 wire.

Try contacting him.

so you are saying i can grap power for the daytime running from the solenoid wire? if so i dont think this will work as the solenoid are only for high beam amd that means daytime running light will only run when the high beams are on. this is not what i want, i want the daytime running light to be totaly independ of the projectors just like the TL. THANK YOU.

can someone summarize this novel of a thread into a paragraph or two? and tell me straight up if this box on my floor containing a pair of R34's is a bad purchase, a miracle, or something in between?

ok, after 10+ months with this box sitting on my floor, FINALLY installed the R34s...i gotta say, all-n-all, they kick dat ***:

please ignore the stock butter/orange signal lights...just got the car back from the insurance company, and didn't want to wait for the "body shop" (that's another story ) to get the clear corners in...they claimed to have a hard time finding them.

ok, so in summary:

- beam output looks fine to me...the low beams are bright (changed the standard 9006's that came with the set to Silverstars), but the hi-beams could use a boost; will check again when it gets dark here.

- the connection between the R34 adapter and your stock headlight sockets is LOOSE! to the point where i did not trust them to stay connected on their own, so i used electrical tape to keep 'em as tight as possible.

- the fitment is pretty good, but as has been stated earlier in this thread, putting the grill back in will require a little bit of creative cutting. i neglected to check this thread before i did the install, and did end up breaking off one of the plastic tabs on the grill . nonetheless, the grill is back in, albeit a tad looser than it should be.

- the bulbs for the parking/courtesy lights are difficult to get to AFTER the headlights are installed. i have big hands, and it was a PITA to change the bulbs (cliffs: due to doofuses at the body shop, i now have two different types (1156 & 1157) of sockets/bulbs in teh courtesy lights instead of one (1156)).

- the screw to adjust the beam has a wide range (up & down only), so it's not hard to get the beams lined up.

It took me about a week or so to get used to the output. Seems fine to me now.

Amazingly after 2 years, this question hasn't been answered. The 3rd option, TIT, stands for Titanium.
