I'm glad that NYCMaxima's doesn't have people who act the way some of you do. It's a tight knit group over there. There is way to much bashing on this site in general. I was going to comment on why jitiola posted that but I didn't want to cause any problems so I kept my mouth shut. I guess I should have spoke up. Vadim...keep those pics to yourself and preshli mne kogda ti budesh govotim. Mne interesno kak eto vso budet vigladyat. Good luck bro.

I feel ya both, jitiola, and IlyaK, everything works out for the better..

I will keep the pics to myself. If there's no respect to me, i have no respect to give back.

Grow Up n00bs.. and if you got a problem with that, Just make your own Dual Projector R34 headlights and post your pics, Everybody will tell you what a wonderful job you've done and pat you on the back.. I don't care about that, I already have mine 70% done. I'm not doing it for praise or bragging rights, i want the best light output with the best style, just like my Maxima.

I feel bad for all the people who just wanted to see them, but the n00bs ruined it for all of ya.. Not My Problem..

If you think i'm gonna post pics on NYCM, I already took them down. Only way to see them will be in-person at a NYC meet. They don't call it the greatest city in the world for nothing..

Thanks for the pm, and vote of confidence AlpineGt66, S Novim Godom Tebya Toje!!

However, by request: I will add the following to the Vast RESOURCES of the Maxima.org cummunity:

How to Bake/Open R34 Headlights:

1. remove ALL the rubber pieces from the back of the lights

2. remove everything from the oven: pots pans and all the metal shelves too.

3. heat up the oven to 400 deg F for 20 minutes. turn it off and let it sit for 5 more minutes with No flames.

4. insert an oven metal shelf in the middle (heat rises so concentration will be at the top) place the headlight on top of the (cool) metal oven shelf.. if the shelf is too hot it can melt the bottom of the headlight.

5. leave the headlight in the over for 5-10 minutes. Do Not go eat, watch tv, etc... After 5 minutes are up take out the headlight with a towel (might be hot depending on oven temps), check if the sealant it getting softer. If it is Not soft yet, you might need to put it back in for a few more minutes.
(the first headlight i put in 3 times to be soft enough, the second one i got on the first try)

6. The thing about the R34 lights that are different from the stocks is there are a few plastic tabs that keep the outer lens secure, you will first have to use a tiny flathead screwdriver to gently bend the tabs up and start slowly prying the lens uniformly from all sides of the headlight. if it doesn't look like it's soft enough, re-read step 5.

7. Gently, without scratching the lens, or breaking off the plastic tabs, start removing the side of the lens that is closest to the Grille. it is best to start with that 'Tip'.. be careful the way it will come off toward the Corner light, it's a little tricky there. keep using the small screwdriver on all sides, the lens should come right off when it is mostly freed of the sealant.

8. there is another inner trim piece that sits inside the lens (black) be careful with it too. it is also help on by 4 tabs. then there is the shiny reflector housing. The headlight is now open, Happy Retrofitting.

If anyone if looking into getting a good deal on these, I just picked up a set from Steve at Sports Compact Only, just mention you’re an .org member and he'll discount them for $225.00 shipped (either style black or chrome. Cheaper and way more reliable then ebay.

Steve seems to be one of the only trusted vendors who came through for us on numerous deals in the past.

The fit looks great....much better than the Cieferos.

I'm wondering why the low beams don't stay on when the high beams are on? I think this would be beneficial in lighting and also it would look better. Seems a bit strange to have the low's on and then go off when the highs are activated.

It seems that the low beams pattern doesn't seem up to snuff....... That makes me hesitate on buying a set. I'm still thinking bout em though. BTW, QuicksilverMusic....you have my Max....Sage Mist 97 SE. I was wondering what the black'd out lenses would look like. Hmmmm, I might go with the chrome. Get some H&Rs and some Illuminas soonest....you'll love em. Cheers
haha, right on. no worries on the suspension. thats next priority on my list. thats actually the exact setup i was planning on getting. ill have it on in a few months. not too worried about doing it during the winter. i agree though, i think it would be much nicer if the lows stayed on when the highs came on.

and that retro fit looks bad ***... thats another project for another day. maybe spring time

I've read through all of these pages but couldn't find the answer (unless I missed it). If you leave the high beam alone and only retrofit the low, you then only need a xenon projector, right, no bi-xenon, right? Also, any old HID kit should fit, correct? I would just have to make sure that the bulb fits the projector? I know nothing about retrofitting and always figured that doing the bi-xenons is too difficult and the wiring is too complex. This just seems "easier" and allows me to keep my stock housing in while i work on this...
Thanks,

Yeah you only need single xenon if you want to use the halogen high beam. If you get an OEM type xenon projector, you will need D2s bulbs or a "D2s HID kit with 9006 wiring."

ok .... first time posting so try not killing me all at once. Love the looks is a nice fit, but is the only way to fix it to retro fit em? ( and yes I did read all the post but not sure about some of the terms ) have a few H4 bulbs sitting around from a Wrangler I use to have and was wondering if anyone knew if I could fit those in or not ( off road 65w lowbeam) or would that just give a brighter hit and miss pattern to the lows?
