I have the warpspeed y and a budget b so, yeah I'm gonna stay stock muffler.
well you gonna laugh. I have a 99 5spd. Upon getting the y-pipe it looked strange. I mean i had both the bungs for the 2 o2's but the design of the pipe looked flawed. It seemed a mix of cali-spec and fed-spec.
My stock flex section was small because of the bend that my car has for the y-pipe. The one on the pipe is long similar to the one's for Fed-spec. So what happened the y-pipe hit's the body of the car and that first bend after the manifold right around my shifter linkage.
So, the pipe was hitting the car, causing massive rice sounds, rattling, bees in the can, excessive vibration etc etc etc... I took pics e-mails LSS and told them this is ghey! They told me that my flanges were pushed up (BS everything was in the same positision as stock) the only other thing i changed was the Cat (got cattman's fast cat) so then they said it's the CAT...put the stock back on same thing. So the pipe is pure crap.
I got so pissed that i just cut the pipe right after the flex section and pushed it away from the car as much as i could to still be able to weld the hole. I succeded but it's still not the same. I feel horrible that i'm even driving with such rice on my car. I'm currently in the process of speaking with Brian Cattman on getting a real Y-pipe.

Sorrry to here that man. I hopeI have no problems with my b-pipe.
it's cali spec it shouldn't matter. I mean the 99 fed spec doesn't have 4 o2's like mine. And no other y-pipe comes with 2 bungs for the o2. The bungs are where they were on the OEM pipe, right at the "y" of the pipe where it connects to the manifold.
I always say do it once do it right and i Fk'd up with this. So now it's costing me alot to get a new pipe and install it. I'm so pissed.
Oh i also put in new nismo exhaust hangers, i mean i tried everything to deal with this problem with no help from LSS. That's y i don't even wanna bother with them or there products again. I'd rather spend 100 more and get real quality and a very very trusted name from the beginning of the maxima community. Cattman Performance Products!

Stillen is not the quietest and does drone (only had it on an auto, never a 5spd) but I liked the muffler. A lot of people on here hate on it, but I thought it sounded good and it wasnt ricey, it was deep and had a little growl to it with the rest of the exhaust.
I have a full .............
I have a full Cattman Catback. I bought mine because my 2000 oem stock exhaust had a whole in the muffler & some serious rust on the b-pipe.I was going to buy nothing but stainless. The Cattman is full stainless steel & will not rust. This is the reason I bought mine. The tone of the exhaust is sweet a added bonus . To buy it for the sound would be a little weird but not unheard of. Your money, your perogative. Nothing rice about it.
My setup is cattman Y, budget B, cattman rear. the reason i bought a cattman rear section was because my stock rear section was rotted out and leaking, if not, i would have stayed stock. There is quite a bit of cabin drone from the cattman, but it sounds nice from the outside. So i would say if your stock rear isnt messed up, stay with it and put a nice looking tiop on it.
BTW, i dont think the A33 rear is worth the hassle.
