Got a new hood (pics)
Got the new hood, nothing special, not carbon fiber, just a straight new aftermarket hood. No dents, no dings, no lumps, creases and most of all no chips.
Here's a closeup of the smooth straight hood. Now the hood looks as good as the rest of the car. Love that red.

Go to anyone that does collision repair and they can get one. $115.
Cost $350. to paint and install the hood and blend the fenders.
The rims are from an I30 I believe.

i need a new hood or a paint job i have a 97 max, the colour is nice and i think rare its called IRIS ( i think ) basically mettalic purple from the factory
i dont think bodyshops can paint that can they find that colour ? also should i just look for the same one from a junkyard (goota be rare)
i have one serious ding on it where the metal is showing, and several otrher down to metal scratches
what should i do ?
PS i think they can bend it back, sand it down and paint it, IF they can find the paint, maybe from dealer ? hhhhmmmm

They don't find the paint, they mix it from the paint code. Any good body shop or automotive finish dealer can make it. Matching EXACTLY can be tricky but it can be done.
