Oh joy another project

Just started getting a coolant leak. I couldn't really see in the dark but it looks like it is coming from somewhere above the oil pan so I suspect the water pump? I've read the replacement how to.

How would I know if the water pump is dead or if it's just the seals that have gone bad?

Mine does that in the winter when it really cold outside. During the summer it ok. I wouldnt worry to much unless your needing to refill the coolant resivoir alot. I havent had to add any coolant to mine yet as it only does it when it really cold out.
