Interior Door Light Wont Work.

I was changing the bulbs in the doors and I touched both sides of the bulb with a screwdriver and now the pass side door light wont come on. I had this problem before when I first got the car and it had something to do with the window switch. I changed the switch and the light worked again.

Do I have to change the switch again or is there a way to fix this? I dont understand why the light would run through the window switch but it does.

Any help would be great!

Did you check the bulb? It shouldnt have anything to do with the switch. Maybe lose wires, or the bulb is just dead.

Its not the bulb or lose wires. I have done this before by touching the 2 wires together and the only way i could get the same bulb to turn on was to change the switch.

Did anyone else have this problem?

I did the exact same thing with a screwdriver, and the light doesnt turn off now. I just left it unplugged and never bothered to fix it.

there is a fuse inherent to the master driver's side window switch. That has gone byebye. easy fix: get a new driver's master window switch and swap.

Intresting.... Ive had my passenger light out for a while i should try this... But then again getting a whole drivers side switch... Is that the part with the windows, door lock buttons on the arm rest??? If soo Getting a replacement for the light isnt worth the money??? well for me that is...

If it is the pass side door light that is out and the drivers side works then the pass side switch needs to be replaced not the drivers side. I just replaced my pass side switch and the light works.
