New "trim" piece sets ebay?

Has anyone here ever seen and or installed these in your maxima? they are full sets of new pieces of trim for your years car with different woods/carbon fiber/ colors... are they worth the trouble? is it just a really fun and easy snap on and snap off process?? or are you required to make special cuts if you have aftermarket equipment like say a deck?

These are one of those things on ebay that you'd want to stay away from. My friend had wood trim installed from ebay in his 97 max in the winter. As soon as summer came and it got hot out, the trim started to bubble and separate from the "wood" and the glue started to melt that held it on so if you touched it, the trim pieces would move. It sucked even more trying to remove it and get all that glue off.

I'm not sure which one your interested in but I think there are 2 companies that sell real brushed aluminum kits. I know for a fact there is one company that sells it and I remeber reading somewhere that there is another company that makes them. I'mm see if I can find the sites.

I installed a Joshua Tree kit to replace the woodgrain set already in the car. They only last about 50k - the pieces up near the clock peel up in the sun. I was hoping the JT kit would last longer than the stock one, but unfortunately they don't. I suspect it peels because of the times when it's hot from being in the sun and I get the A/C blasting cold - the thermal effects cause the poured resin surface to peel up from the wood underneath.

I didnt even read the thread but I wanted to post not to use those kits! They suck. They peel and do not last long. Take the time and paint the trim if you really want to. Here's a pic of my interior. Paint it...it look so much better and lasts longer.

www.superiordash.com They are near me, about a mile away. The kits look nice, and they have a wide variety. I have never done business with them, but there are always cars in there. If I had the cash I would look into it.

http://www.superiordash.com/E-Cat/product.php?cid=18 online catalog.

Enjoy

http://www.alkaplus.com is the guys from brooklyn. I was lucky i found them on ebay and searched where they located. I am in brklyn too. So i went here myself. I got the English Burlwood. Trust me it looks dark from the site but it is perfect for black surface. Thats what i thought first too but after seeing the finished dashboard my car got its style

It is very easy to install. Also i got one custumized sticker too. I put it on my dashboard right below air bag on passenger side seen below but i didnt get the chrome trim..wooden is the best

I have another question about those sets... Is there any other option? Instead of stickers I would rather replace whole plastic frames so it might last longer. Do you know if anybody makes them? How about Nissans trims? Prices?

G-Gore, what you see there is not really a plastic that goes away so fast..they are hard plastic..trust me it is very hard to take them out if you know the proper way to put them on ur car....

Well thats the first positive post I've heard about them. I havnt seen anything but bad remarks about them. I still think it's better to paint. It's just my opinion.
