Need some input on how to remove the grill off a 96 max. I took off the nissan hamburger emblem from the stock grill and put on the GTR one but it doesn't look right cause you can see the flat area where the hamburger emblem goes and two holes on each side so what I'm looking to do is remove the black plastic grill and add a chicken wire mesh inside instead.

There's three bolts that connect the grill to the bumper. Look straight down at the grill and you should see them. There is also 2 clips on each side of the grill that connect to the headlights. These can be popped out with a flathead screwdriver. Take it slow and don't bust anything.
Good luck

Thanks

Here's a pic of how it looks now, there's a ugly ring around the GTR emblem from the exisiting nissan hamburger emblem. I wanted to remove the grill to replace the black plastic with chicken wire mesh. Do they come apart, or is it one piece?

It's one piece but I'm sure you could get it off if you really wanted.
