Grounding kits?

Does anyone know if we benefit much from grounding kits? I don't think there has been much discussion about it for us 4th gens. There's a thread in the 6th gen forum but different cars have different electrical systems, so I wonder how we would be affected. Does anyone have one? care to comment about it?

http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...round+kit+dyno

someone with a 6th gen accord v6 dynoed his and got
"Increase Power: 5.74 hp
Increase Torque: 2.5 ft-lbs"

so i'm curious to see what kind of gains our cars would get, i think i'm going to get one regardless.

They might help if your grounds are really bad, my grounds were good and all I noticed was a louder stereo. Could just be the placebo effect though. Here's a good setup: http://www.activetuning.com/products...stallation.php

made my own from big *** 0 guage wire. Ran to the most important grounding points, and it did NOTHING!! WASTE of time and MONEY! The best thing you can do is just clean all of your connections and terminals. After i did that i actually felt a difference.

Yeah from everything I've read it's a waste of time and money really. You're grounds are fine. Clean them. If you really want to then make your own. As you posted orginally all cars have different system. The dyno from the honda has nothing to do with our cars. You're wasting your money but whatever, it's your money. You should clean yours now and wait till Drivin Maxima actually posts some proof.

i've read that it helps a bit with the automatic transmission's performance. I notice that most of you guys have 5 speeds so you wouldn't receive this benefit, maybe i'll just wait for more people to test it out

its not a waste of time and money, if you have a system, you will benefit from better grounding and better voltage for your amps.

as far as HP/TQ, i dont think there is any gains and if anyone claims it, i dont believe it.

If the current is being limited by corrosion then whats the point of getting bigger wire? You thought process is all backwards. If you have stock 4gen alt and don't plan on going bigger you won't need 0 gauge wire anyway as 4 gauge will be able to do job with extra room to spare.

It's like saying the motor is broken because the car isn't starting. So you went and bought a whole new motor and the car still isn't starting when the real problem is the starter.

Your wiring system is only as strong as its weakest link.

I got the wire fairly cheap so why not...besides i wasn't really doing it to gain hp/tq what am i retarted. The only reason i put it on is because i thought i had a grouding problem, which i didn't. I just needed to clean my stock grounds and terminals.
