it sounds great, real low and throaty. if anything, i would have to guess i got a better throttle response, but that could be the placebo effect. im not worried about the dirt on it, the other side of the filter is as clean as can be.

All you gotta do now is buy another stock box and put it in...then you're set! Hacking the box is possibly the worst intake mod, maybe besides the Injen intake....

From the looks of his engine bay, it looks like he cut off the flat end of the MAF and just attached a tube to the end of it with a coupler.

Flipped upper, ziptied filter. Cost: free Work: almost none. Box can be returned to stock setup in 80 seconds.

Like I was saying, it looks like he removed this part of the MAF...

but then again... after look at a couple more pics, he has an adapter attached to it so I have no idea what he meant by "hacked it".

Are you talking about me? nothing else along the intake was touched in any way. maybe just the angle since its on the ground, but all the rest is stock and in place
