which filter

i have the PR style CAI. i was wondering withc is better for this intake: the cone style with the open end with the other little filter piece (pop charger i guess), or a big K&N cylinder style filter with the closed crome end. i have both already and im usin the popcharger style one now. It seemed louder but i dont know about power wise whhich is better. any advise? and also, the K&N is a 4inch style, i was wondering if instead of using the flat addapter/space to make it work. if using the smooth metal MAF addapfter would allow for better air flow.

I'd just stick with the popcharger one.

I doubt it. He stated he had a "PR style" so my guess is it is a knock off, which more then likely will be some generic cone filter.

Id go with a true K&N filter.

Yeah probably for the piping, but he said that he's using the popcharger for a filter.

No, this is what he said,..
cone style with the open end with the other little filter piece (pop charger i guess),
Which Im thinking looks like this,

By him stating "pop charger" Im guessing you assumed he had the JWT/ Stillen popcharger, which even if he did, it wouldnt bolt up to the CAI piping. The pop charger uses a "velocity stack that bolts up to the MAF. So he would need an MAF adapter plate to be using it.
The K&N he stated is a
cylinder style filter with the closed crome end
which Im assuming is like this,..

Which may or may not be a true K&N, hard to say without seeing it.

i have the popcharger style on the end of the CAI. Flava you got the picks right but the K&N fillter i have is the larger diameter opening and i just have unlimited addapters to make everything work. i can put either filter on the end of short ram/stock/ and CAI. i was wondering what the best settup and with what filter. the only thing i havnt tried is the pop charger on the MAF addapter. my other question was could i use the MAF adapter (cone style) to increase the velocity\air sream of the CAI by puting the MAF (4 inch) addapter back to back with a 3 inch conecter on the end of the CAI. maybe im just rambling but i wanna know what experiece yall have had.
