Hunting for negative battery cable bolted to block/chassis
Hunting for negative battery cable bolted to block/chassis
As part of trying to diagnose my cold starting problem in my '96 GLE, I want to check the
connection of my negative battery cable to the block. It looks like it is buried under the air filter/throttle body assembly. Anyone know quickly what you have to take off to get at it?
Also I tend to believe that I really have a rest pressure fuel problem, so has anyone had problems with the fuel pressure regulator or the check valve in the fuel pump in this regard at high miles (120k)
Thanks,
Phil

Will Check
I would replace it if it is bad. I didn't say I found any corrosion or deterioration. I have to look at the place where it bolts to the manifold.
I seriously doubt it is bad anyway. If something is wrong it is more likely it is at the contact point than the cable itself.
This looks like a rest pressure fuel starvation problem or some other cold fuel enrichment problem.
