so i bought Q45 calipers and im missing half of them..wtf

i ordered semi loaded calipers from the guys at auto zone and they said it would be everything i needed but the other day i noticed i still need the friggin bracket to hold the pads in place... i already started painting them so wuts my best bet in order to get ahold of the rest of the parts?? i looked online at stores and no one seems to have this bracket. auto zone said they cant get it for me as well.... any help would be appreciated.. dont really feel like going to the junk yard unless i have to..

Are you talking about the Caliper Mounting Bracket?

Those aren't usually included with rebuilt calipers.

You can sometimes buy them seperately though.

Try www.partsamerica.com

because you bought them SEMI loaded, get the LOADED caliper kit, comes with the bracket and if i'm not mistaken, even the slide pins(the ones u have to grease and bolt the caliper to)

Don't you have your original ones? They bolt up to the Q45 calipers

The Q45 caliper DOES bolt up to the stock torque member... I've seen it done myself. Unless your Q calipers are different than the Q calipers on the two cars i've personally seen with this brake upgrade...

The 4th gen mounting bracket will work with the Q45 calipers. I have done this myself. That does not mean you won't have to do some grinding or use a spacer to make everything work with larger rotors and such.

i think we were all getting confused with what bracket i was talking about... i was talking about the bracket that actually holds the brake pads in place, along with the pins and other hardware to the actual caliper.. but i found out the hard way today when i attempted to see if the 4th gen bracket woudl fit the Q caliper, but no go.. the 4th gens were too small, which i obviously figured but i was like wut the hell... i ended up goin to junk yard and got 2 fronts for $40.. my front brakes pretty much disintegrated when i took them off so the bbk will need to go on ASAP.. ill keep u guys informed, but thanks anyway

The part you are talking about is called the torque member - that is the part that holds the pads and that has the sliding pins in it... it DOES fit to the Q caliper. I watched I30tMikeD and maxmaxima91 both do it, I30tmikeD had them on his car and maxmaxima91 still has them on his car. I don't know what's going on with your setup that it's not working. Take some pics of it and hopefully we can help you figure it out. Maybe only certain year Q45 calipers work with the 4th gen torque member?

nealoc now that i think about it you are 100% correct that the 4th gen toque member(<-thanks) bolts to the q45 caliper. the thing that i do remember was that the torque member from the 4th gen didnt fit the bigger q45 pads. i already have pads that i bought for the q45 and would prefer more beefier pads for the bigger rotors... so yes you are right they do fit, just not the q45 pads...if anyone was thinking about doing this you will only be able to use the 4th gen pads in the 4th gen torque member with the bigger q45 2 piston caliper, unless you get the q45 torque member
