stereo works fine EXCEPT no LED readout. Can't see what station is playing or anything - black screen.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, do you know a quick fix?

Thanks in advance

there is no quick fix, looks like it is blown and its not worth your time or money fixing. you are better off buying a on off ebay or going to your dealer and ordering one. thats one item in the car which sucks when it breaks.

This is one of the common problems with the Bose unit. I agree with alloutmax in that you may be better off replacing it with aftermarket but in case you are intereted in fixing your Bose or getting more info on your problem here are a few places:

For $78, just get it fixed. Mine has done it for 2 months now. I've figured out what it's related to (atleast in my car). When it humid out or rains, the light goes out for a while. If the car sits in the sun for a while or I'm driving for more than 30 minutes, it comes back on. My stereo is purely related to the weather.

I had the same problem as Dave but decided to replace it with an aftermarket one purely so that I can play MP3's. It is fixable and if you dont want to go aftermarket it is worth it.

Dave - when you added the UDP did your AC stop working as well as it did before? Have you had any problems with it or are you very happy you have it? Thanks.
