Help with Installing Rear Bumper and Trunk Lid

i just bought a used trunk lid with spoiler and a rear bumper.

i have the haynes manual. are there any pointers or details i should know about. one thing i learned is that any mod, its never as simple as it seems and you always encounter stupid problems.

i could figure it out, but eaiser to ask you guys. what is the spoiler brake light going to plug into?
and do all the haynes manual smell like shat? lol

my 95/96 red clears hopefully come in tomorrow

The spoiler light has a pigtail with integrated grommet. The pigtail goes through the trunk lid (grommet seals the hole), then connects to a gray 2-pin connector which is taped back to the body harness on the underside (dry cargo area) of the lid. If you remove the trunk lid carpet liner, you can see it.

It looks like you don't have a spoiler now so assuming you're prewired, you should see an unused gray 2-pin connector on your existing vehicle's harness near to where the spoiler grommet/pigtail will pass through. If you don't, then you'll need to do some splicing to the outer tails' stop lamp bulb circuit.

My haynes manual smells like rhubarb pie
