Freaking passanger door is not locking....

Ok guys need lil. help here. My passanger side door is not locking it seems like there's not enough power in the mechanism to make it compleatly closed. Now everytime i lock the car i have to lock it manualy wich is pisses me off, it's not a pontiac sunfire for god sakes lol. Anyone had the same problem? How to fix it?
Thanks!

I'm having the same problem with my drivers side door. It seems like there is resistance in the lock. It is even a little hard to push lock by hand. I'm going to take the door panel off and try to see what's up. Oh yeah, the key doesn't want to open it either, so I have to reach across the car to get in.

sounds like either your lock is seizing up (second post)or your lock actuator took a crap. take appart the door, grease it up and see if it's beter, if not change it.

I only have this problem when it's REALLY cold. My rear doors won't lock or unlock if it's below about 30 degrees. I haven't had this problem when it's warmer.

Mine does this as well. Didn't find out about it until stuff got stolen out of my car. I haven't found a fix for it so I just lock it manually.

I had to replace the actuator in my drivers side door because it would not lock with power or manually. But for the door locks that are hard to move in the cold, I had a similar problem in my last car (Mazda Protege). The problem was that black crap they seal the door electronics off with inside the door had slowly melted onto the rods for the door locks, then when it got cold that stuff got really stiff and you could hardly use the locks. I cleaned the stuff off the best I could and everything was fine again.

Lube the rods a bit with WD40, that solved my problem...

I have that problem and here are my symptoms

1. Window motor won't work when this happens

2. I made the mistake of pulling my passenger door lock out and taking it to a locksmith to get new keys made when I bought the car. I'm pretty sure I put everything back together right--but who knows

3. Hear a clicking sound from a solenoid somewhere in the car

HELP!
