Clutch problem in cold weather

My 96 Manual SE recently has been giving me problems. When the weather drops below about 40 degrees my clutch gets real spongy. I can press it to the floor with little to no repentance. This morning I get in my car and I couldn't put it in reverse to back out of my parking space. But after about 10 minutes I was able to put it in reserve and in 4th gear. After driving in 4th gear for awhile I was able to use 3rd and awhile later I could use 1st and 2nd. Later today when it warms up my clutch will have normal pressure and I wont have a problem putting it in gear. Ive never heard of manual transmission fluid acting up in the cold. What could be wrong? What should I do to fix this?

TIA

when its cold outside, ill push my clutch in and itll still feel pretty normal, but if i sidestep it, itll stick for a second then fly up. is this what you are talking about?

That sounds weird.. DID u check ur clutch fluid? u might be low?

Did u also check ur transmission fluid or changed it, if not i'd check it with some Redline/Amsoil.. that might make it smoother to shift

Turns out it was my fluid level. I checked it a few days ago and it was fine but I checked it again today and it was almost dry. So I bought some fluid and now everything is great
