engine bore

has anyone here with a vq30de bored out there engine? if so how much did it cost and what was the benefits of it.

It's not cost effective, you're better off to buy the VQ35 which was made that way to begin with and is equipped with better technology in the end.

possibly but i know i could get my engine bored out for cheap cuz i know someone with the tools. would it be better with a bored out vq30 and a 00vi? or a vq35?

i think stock bore and stroke is 93mm x 73.3mm (3.66in x 2.886in).

but what would be the benefits versus a 3.5 swap? im sure it would be cheaper to bore.

About how many of these threads can we expect?

There are MANY threads on making a 4th gen into a 14-13-12 and 11 second car. Reading, can be much more benefitial than taking opinion polls every time you are curious. There are advanced performance forums for a reason.

Also this friend with the "tools",it takes a little more than tools and even with the proper tools its not like boring a dirt bike or something. Then you would have to find oversized pistons...IDK where you would begin to get them and then thats another expense....I just cant see it working out to well,would go 3.5

.. No it's not possibly, it's a given FACT.

Boring requires breakdown .. Swapping the 3.5L, = drop in w/some modifications, and don't ask me to explain because it has been already time and time again.
