Possibly selling the max

Hey guys...Ive had the max now for about 3 years, a 98 SE black on black with leather, and every option out there (except the 5 spd). Its got about 85,000 miles on it now, and I think im finally getting tired of the auto max. Im looking into one of those Altima SE-R deals, 5 spd of course. I think they are pretty sexy, and they got the hp that I crave. Anyone think it would actually be worth it? Or should I just drive the max until it ***** the bed?

I thought about doing the 3.5 conversion and the 5 spd swap, but im a little hesitant...with all the problems Ive had with the car being stock...Im afraid to even begin changing things.

Give me opinions.

I feel you, my Maxima gave so much **** that I decided to sell it. With a SE-R, you won't have to deal with so much BS with it being new and all. I say, if you can afford it, why not?

Your call of course. If I had the money, and it wouldn't be a financial burden, GO SE-R. I love that car, especially red. It may take a lot of time and money to make your Max what you really want, and in the end it won't be worth much more than it is now. Time is Money! I've seen your car around and it is in great condition, but if you want more (5 speed, power, etc..) it may be time to move on.

If you have to mortgage your future to buy the car, forget it!

Housing prices are going to slump further in 2007 and the US is headed for recession.

Hang on to your money!

I agree. 2007 will likely be a tough year. Further, I drove the SE-R and wasn't all that impressed. My Max has been very reliable for the past 127,000, so I'm in a different spot. Probably not a good time to be overextended....

I think the SE-R is a good car, lot better than the max, but I'd stick it out until I the coupe comes out...

I think the coupe looks too much like the Z. If im gonna get the coupe...i might as well just get a Z. The other thing is too...i wanna have a smaller car, but i like having 4 doors, and the space. SE-R may be the way to go
