help maxima is sputtering

my car (maxima) keeps sputtering for some reason and the only thing that i can think it could be is the IACV, the TB positioning sensor, or the spark to the motor if anyone could think of anything else please help
a little info the car has 140k miles on it, it is a 5 speed, and the problem is only noticed when i am at idle....which kinda rules out the spark for me in my mind please tell me if im wrong

Could be a number of things. Start with the easiest and cheapest and work your way up.

1. Clean throttlebody.
2. Clean IACV
3. Replace Air filter
4. Fuel Fuel Filter
5. Replace spark plugs.

then you start getting into more complex and exspensive items like o2 sensors, fuel injectors, coil packs etc etc. Start with the 1st 5 and see what happens then go from there.

you've got a 99 with all those coil problems, so that would be way up there on my list of things to check

don't bad coils throw a misfire code?

it will also sputter @ idle if it has a clogged EGR pipe (like mine did) but then again it should throw 0302 if that's the case

Do the simple cheap stuff first. Rule those out. Then get into coils etc if tht is your problem. You prob need to do everything on his list anyhow.
