How To Remove Defrost Vents?

Have you or anyone you know removed the plastic defrost vents without damaging them? If so, please let me know how. Everytime I hit a bump the plastic rattles and is wicked annoying. I want to try to fix this. Thanks

are you sure it's the vents? I had a rattle also, i swear it was the vents...i was about to use some double sided tape and go all OUT!! on that bish. Turned out to be my cluster lol..the screw that holds it on top somehow managed to get between the dash and the black plastic trim around the cluster itself...no more rattle.

I mean it's weird but worth a shot. haha

I'm sure it is coming from the defrost/windsheild driver's side.

idk maybe you can try taking a flat head screw driver with maybe some paper towel or something similar wrapped around it and just pop the vents out. Or something simpliar would be one of those mini hook screw driver thing (lol at my explanation) and just pull the vents out.

If you do break them, i'm sure you won't have a problem finding them in the classifieds.

you have to remove the whole center dash part. It's the same process as installing a stereo. The vent part has 2 or 3 screws in it that need to be removed. You have to remove everything else to get to them though.
