I was thinking of getting the one piece headlights from ebay and retrofitting them with the projectors from the infiniti j30 headlights.

Is tihs possible? retrofitters? thanks!

 

Why J30 halogen projectors? If you are going to bother with retrofitting, why not HID projectors from the 04+ Maxima? 04+ Maximas come with Hella bi-xenon projectors.

 

Yea, Id say better projectors. Youre in there anyway, go clearer.

why? any proof?

I have hid already. I just need to change my bulbs if i do a retrofit.

 

... well the projectors in the j30 are designed for the halogen bulbs.. ahh its tricky to explain .. but baisically they rely on the reflector in the back of the projector to do all the aiming of light.. where as prjectors with HID use both the reflector, lense , and cutoff shield to do the work..

 

It's not that simple!

 

You could get some valeo projectors and switch your hid kit to h7 bulbs because the j30s aren't for hids.
