Gauge Cluster lights went out??

Ok, so here is what happened, I got in my car one night and turned on my lights, and all of a sudden my gauge cluster lights blink on for a second and then go all the way out. Now they wont come on at all. The weird part is that when they went out so did my front led switches in my door handles. But like I said only the passenger and driver side up front? I then change my leds to blue in all my door handle switches and the only ones that come on are my rear door handle switches. They look good but my gauges lights and other up front handles are still out. I checked the obvious, the fuses, they are all good!! Now what I did find tho is that i took apart my gauge cluster and the dimmer that dimmes the lights on the cluster was fried...it had like over heated the little board and that is the only thing that i could think of that would cause it to go out. However Why would that affect the door handle switches?? DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO OR IDEAS....MY BUDDY GOT A NEW DIMMER FOR ME BUT I HAVENT HAD TIME TO MEET UP WITH HIM FOR HIM TO GIVE IT TO ME,,BUT BEFORE I DO PUT IT ON I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS? Please HELP?? I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IN MY CAR IN THE DARK FOR LIKE A MONTH NOW!!!!

Make sure the wires for your leds are tapped up well and also you soldered on all resisters with good connections. sounds like you have a short some where. Good luck.

You should check the fuse box theres one (inside car) that is for inside illumination (window switches, gauge cluster, dome light, door lights etc) check if all of this is "off" if they dont turn on its the fuse, if it is the fuse check if you have a short somewhere, if not check anyways just to be sure, About the dimmer i don't know for sure Must be because the dimmer switch dims the cluster lights, door handles, and the climate control box.. so it must be that
