I'm pro twin, but not fawkin sequential as pre-mentioned.. Parallel is the way of the boost. Unless you wanna peaky son of a b1tch that has a lot of lag and a lot of power. Sure one GT30/GT35 depending on A/R is going to be decent with not as much lag. But I'd much rather have twin GT28's running if at all possible (I'm using the RB26 as an example).
Now because I have a RB25, the work for a TT setup is dumb when you can just re-route a bit for a bigger single turbo.
.. GT30,GT35R (once again A/R is the key). We could go on forever with compressor maps and all the other nonsense.

I agree with you Apparition, Parrallel setup would be best. I submit the 300zx as exhibit A. Twin Parrallel setup, making good power, starts to spool at 3K, not sure when it hits full boost, but it holds it all the way to the redline. The concept of a sequential turbo setup is ideal, something anyone wanting forced induction would want, unfortuantely it hasnt seemed to work as well as it sounds.
In a lot of cases it is easier to scrap the twin setup for a good manifold with a good flange and slap a decent size single with a good a/r setup for little/no lag
