that small slug on the bottom is a 63mm w/anti surge, awesome spool no lag, good for 600ish rwhp w/ 30psi C16

Just wondering what car your putting that setup in?? B/cuz maxima's are fwd. I'm just a lil confused on the 600ish rwhp part. Also When is it going to be installed??? I want to see the setup you use for those two bad boys.Originally Posted by x X CLoud X x

If the little one is good for "600rwhp" why add the larger turbo? unless your aimig for 1000hp Maxima.

We all remember when people stated certain things could be done then all of a sudden someone get it done, but this is a monumental task. Would like to see it up and running.
There is a guy who is currently still trying to finish his twin turbo setup, and lsat time I check on the thread he's still having trouble getting it running.

I thought sequential was proved to not be as good as two medium sized turbos. Oh well ... major props for originality. Keep us informed.

I've heard this as well from some supra guys, they'll yank out the sequential setup and just run a nice size single turbo. They made more power.

good eye! Twin sequential is a good setup, if its done correctly, but it can also be very pricey and the amount of piping needed just isnt worth it unless you have lots of $$. Most of the supra guys pull the twins inplace for a single is just because 1 turbo is a lot cheaper then 2 turbos. Alot of supra guys also do the TTC which basically converts the sequential setup to running them in parallel to acheive more power.
I see you even have a jacket for the hot side :P
Is the turbo on the top a garrett GT47?

actually Supra guys do it for peak power.....one turbo for an In-line 6 is best....they also ran into alot of issues the turbos not switching over correctly..its quite a complicated setup to get right

good eye . . . so the question now, Is this still for his Max? or does he have an MKIII MKIV around that will be blessed with the snailsOriginally Posted by Tatanko
Upper left-hand corner of the pic is a 1JZ/2JZ lower intake manifold. You do the math

The Maxima should have always been RWD.
there was a 500hp Maxima already that was quite a beast (hal). Traction does become as issue as HP increases but there are preventative methods. . .Originally Posted by QBridge

you have drag fwd cars running 7's.
But for our cars, some would rather invest the money into another car.

Yea for the money you could buy something else but for the cool factor if I personally had the time and money to do a TT on my Max I certainly would....

Lmao, you DO NOT run open-diff if you want the best traction haha.. Nealoc does, but he's throwing in his VLSD. Still a quaife or some other helical would be alot better. I wanna try that phantom grip piece personally.Originally Posted by willard00

Maybe its just me thats confused then so im gonna ask...is this really going in a 4th gen max or is it for a Supra as per that intake manifold in the upper corner of the pic?

I'm assuming the turbos is not for his Maxima, but thought it would be cool to post pics and let people believe and discuss about his future twin turbo setup.
We naturally assumed its for his Maxima cause he posted it in the 4th gen section. I could only assume if he really was going to twin turbo his Max, this post would be in the SC'd/Trb'd section.
just my .02

Don't try to rationalize with him, he's just going around trolling about RWD cars being superior.Originally Posted by MDeezy

Look at what you're saying. The Maxima is not a performance car, it's a family car, and family cars need to drive in the snow.Originally Posted by QBridge

rwd card hand handle well in the snow. We have such a large amount of fwd vehicles because it is cheaper to manufacture and mass produce.Originally Posted by EnervinE

good tires and a good driver is the key for good driving in any weather condition

I would love to see a turbo for each bank, then the pipe meet together to leave the car out of the exhaust.
There was an org member who is running true dual exhaust.I'm sure with some cleaver calculations, and strategical positioning, you could have a turbo for each bank, and have a sucessful twin turbo setup.
