It's actually 2.397 bar.. So, you're both right in a sense.

FP at idle means jack, toss in some cams and watch it change, have a vac leak and see it change again. There is no point in trying to get it right at idle.

Its 3 bar with the vac line off, which is like WOT.

While this is true, neither of these exceptions applies to him. Besides, a vacuum leak means that something is wrong so that's a moot point. He asked for the specification and we gave it to him.

Well technically when some one asks for fuel pressure on a 4th gen (most Nissans) the given answer will be 3 bar. Thats what it runs on plain and simple. Since the 2nd poster responded with the idle psi only, which basically means nothing, That wont help the guy at all. Then you all went on a rampage about idle FP down to the .xxxxxxxxx place. Again it doesnt mean anything and its only good for checking that the FPR is functioning correctly. So I was just giving the actual answer and not just useless info.

The idle specification is still useful, although i agree that on it's own it means nothing. But the idle FP down to the .xxxx place was a joke (at least on my end).

when you are vacuuming your carpet and you see the dust flying back out of the Hoover, that is how you know you have a leak. (Thats why i bought a Dyson. Never loses suction!!)
