car not feeling like it should be

Well for one thing I don't feel the low end torque anymore... well at least not as much as I use to when I had an automatic, is there anything I can do to bring my car's torque back to par?

Knock Sensor, spark plugs, pcv valve, fuel filter, maf sensor, new air filter, clean TB, IACV, EGR, Intake Manifold, run deep creep/injector cleaner. Just basic tune-up stuff.

I'm having the same issue. I have replaced or religiously maintained everything listed above. My low end torque just sucks. The mid to upper range is fine and pulls hard but not the low end. When I first got the car and punched it in first from a stop, it would spin tires but not anymore unless I floor it at around 4000 rpm.

Well, did you a) get new tires, b) get a MEVI/intake/exhaust? If not then chances are it's your KS. Check your codes even if your CEL isn't on.

my KS is definately fine since I replaced it when the code came up... I guess I should change the fuel filter... does it really make that much of a difference?

If it's clogged, yes.

Depends on who you speak to. I say it can make it worse, not better. It makes the car feel a lot better (compared to how bad it makes it feel during adn riht after the "treatment"). Havent seen any proof personally of it actually cleaning something. And for some reason people think the smoke means its doing something.

check your PCV since that will not throw a code when it goes bad. air should go in one way but not the other, if you can blow in it from both ends it needs to be replaced also the pipe connected to it should have some vacuum, they cost like $4 bucks @ AutoZone. If that doesn't help check your MAF sensor, spark plugs and coil-packs

invest in a haynes manual (15 bucks tops),search , and read the how-to stickies, we've all been where your at right now () and that's pretty much how all of us are learning.

how to change the PCV is in the Haynes manual. and I believe there is a sticky for the MAF but i'm not sure if not its in the haynes manual too (where it is and how to replace it) the coil packs are whats connected to the spark-plugs under the cover in the front and along the back of the motor, there are 6 of them).

good luck

so basically i seafoamed my car yesterday at my garage, and man what can i say....ive never seen so much thick white smoke coming out of a car like that. After about 5-10 mins or so, i let the car run, and took it out for a drive, and it did feel a bit smoother, but still no change of the low end torque. Today, i did a complete tune-up (Spark Plugs, PCV Valve, Gas Filter), and i had cleaned the throttle body. As soon as i leave from my garage ill let you know if there was any difference. The PCV Valve was CLOGGED, and so was the Gas Filter, and the plugs were 50/50. I ordered the IACV, but i probably wont end up needing it unless the start up problems dont go away. But it does feel smoother, and somewhat quieter.
