o2 sensor

My 99 Max is throwing out a CEL for O2 sensor. Are they interchangeable or does each sensor have its own spot in the exhaust system?

On my 96 all 3 are different. The front sensors are similar but the length of the wiring is different. The 3rd one in the cat is totaly different. The code will tell you which one took a sh1te. Make sure to get the right one. And don't forget the O2 socket.

Thats a pretty good site, thanks. I'm just going to go ahead and purchase all three o2 sensors and replace them.
These seem to come with the connector, so no splicing is needed

first find out which o2 went bad. If it's a primary o2, then replace it. If it's a secondary, you can replace the sensor, or install an o2 sim to get rid of the SES light.
