problems with 00vi swap please help

problems with 00vi swap please help

hey guys i'm helping a buddy out with an 00vi swap and we are having some crazy idle issues. the car with start and idle at 1700 and bouce up to 2200 and then he drove it around the shop i work at and it went all the way to 4500 and stayed. we can not figure this out. we have fixed the few spots on the intake that were leaking(we had leaks around the brass nipples we put in for the IACV and the EVAP). we just can't figure this thing out. we are thinking about putting the old stuff back on but we wanted some insight before we went through the whole process again. any help would be great. thanks

everything was already adjusted? Tps and all? Sure there are no leaks? What setup are you using tb,tps, iacv wise?

you said you guys fixed a few spots that were leaking. You'd need to fix all the spots that are leaking to get a decent idle.

can o throttle body cleaner. spray at joints to make sure all leaks are gone. you will notice a HUGE sucking sound and idle change when you hit the sweet spot (leakingspot). fix as needed. after you get all that checked and double checked let us know ill direct ya further.

You will hear a huge sucking sound. I was experiencing a bad vacuum leak and my intake sounded like it was trying to breath in all air possible, extremely noticeable, and loud even with the hood closed and me in the driver seat.

we are using the factory 4thg gen IACV , Tps and and a 5th gen throttle body
