i know u guys have been askin wut type of whole saw, i used, etc.. heres a few picss....

hole saw cut a nice 3inch hole in the back so i all i had to do was put one row of silicone w a gun all the way around.. very cleannn

another pic of the rear. sorry for the blurr

a pic of the housing. the projectors are e46 bixenons which allow the use of a high beam through a sheild that moves up and down.. pretty sick! but im too lazy to wire it up.. lol

pic of the ballast velcrowed under the housing.. it fits perfect...

pic of the 2 1/4inch whole saw... worked perfect instead of using a dremel and making a massacre out of your headlights..

anyones got any Q"s shoot me a pm... their really not that hard to do. u just gotta have the time, and patience when putting them in and out of the oven constaintly... good luck guys...

I CANT FIND SMOKED CORNERS!!! i looked everywhere!! believe it or not the entire retro costed me 150 bucks. that 150 was for a new set of glass headlights off ebay. i really only needed the glass lenses because i didnt want to reuse the ugly 96's

i started out when i had a spare set of 96 headlights, so i took them apart, and ended up getting homermac's original retro's. the first ones ever made, but they werent made too well. silicone everywhere and were pretty much a mess. hacked em apart and used the projectors for my own retro. so i used my brains not knowing wut the hell a retro was all about.. all i know is i wanted it CLEAN so i cut a hole in the back w a hole saw, shoved the projector in there, drilled sum holes bolted them up, and wallah!! (of course i painted them as well) sounds easy huh?

i like the 96 housing bc its smoothe on the inside and not stepped. it also has a reflective silver not chrome finish.. as for the hids i happened to stumble into a friend of the familys body shop one day, and what was on the lift? an 02 max w front end damage. i asked where the old headlights were and jackpot! he gave em to me since the new ones automatically come w new ballasts, bulbs, etc. the entire project took me about a few months just procrastinating doing them since they werent the headlights off my car. but all in all it took about a good solid day, taking my time. by time i mean-u bake them 29383 times paint them, drill/wash them , mount them, test fit them 3939 times but its really not that hard. i really like them and they are definite headturners....

im contemplating on getting a new vehicle. but then again i love the max and shes treated me well... but dont be suprised if u see them in the f/s forums soon. ill try and get more night pics, close ups

yea its got 2 wires that come from a little motor. one is for the power and another a negative/ground. basically i think id have to tap into the wire goin to my lowbeam, and send that to the highbeam switch, along with the positive for the highbeam motor thingy. the other wire i'd ground sumwhere. i migth be wrong but idk, i aint doin it anytime soon
