Idle too high

Hey guys I had my auto converted to a 5 sopd about 8 months ago and for all this time everytime I put it into N my rpms would stay at 1.6 until i would coem to a complete stop and hten after 3-5 secs wuld drop to .7. I know it is most likely because of my auto ECU, however I cleaned mt TB yday and now rpms are sometimes a little higher - 1.7 and are high when they car is cold. Therefore I was thinkin maybe there is a sensor near TB that I can just disconnect so my ECU will not be sending signals to keep RPMs so high?

Thanks

Well when cold u can expect high rev at start up and for a couple minutes after that. Cleaning your throttle body will also raise it as you know. It might be because ur AUto ecu because your manual transmission has a lot less going on then a auto would while in manual. 5 speed= free spinning while auto still has funstioning components.

if that helps any.

properly cleaning your throttl body and IAC Valve lowers your idle RPMs. it doesnt raise it. I highly doubt the ECU has anything to do with it (although i have no experience with an auto-manual swap). As far as i know our cars have 2 seperate computers. one for the car and one for the tranny. I would try the basics first. take off and clean the throttle body and IAC Valve (simply spraying it while attatched can make it worse if you blow stuff into it instead of out of it). Oil affect idle RPM. as do plugs. also make sure your air filter is new/clean and if you really feel like it spray down your mass air flow sensor with the proper cleaner. If those don't work then there is obviously something deeper.
