Alright, so I go and change the ignition light bulb to an led about 5 minutes ago. All was going well and somehow when i was putting it in i saw/heard a pop with some smoke. Needless to say, the light still lit so i proceeded to install it.

NOW the ignition light and dome light will not shut off when i close the door and wait (they usually go off after a few seconds or so)...


So now my question is...what device tells the car to cut electricity to the ignition and dome light bulbs after a few seconds?


My dad suggested a thermal sensor that cut power when the bulbs reached a certain temp (led's don't get hot)...

An "i'm getting really nervous" bump...i tried searching and the BCM came up but people have trouble with that when their lights wont go on
