Auto climate contol

98 auto climate control malfunctioning - car temp normal. Set it to 75 and the heat stays on. Set it to 73 and it's cold. Is there an internal thermostat for this or is the unit defective?

it prob broken. or the temp sensor could be dirty (unlikely). i have 2 for sale if interested. Woodgrain with the ambient temp sensor button.
