A Y or the headers??? they are two different items...unless they are a package deal...if it's a y for 135 is a good deal...either way...it sounds good. Post a link?

I doubt if anyone dyno'd the obx header so it will be difficult to judge on if gains will be present. Especially on a N/A Max with just bolt ons.

if your going to build a full N/A car, every little bit will help, but for the average enthusiast that wants a few bolt ons, the $700 is better spent else where, unless you get these headers with the y-pipe to replace your stock one.

They wont fit without cutting your motor mounts. The piping diamater is on the small side. But other than that, they should work fine.

Stay away from that old version at any price. Its got more issues than they are worth. Their new set is better but still not worth the install. NO headers for the 3.0 are worth buying over a y pipe unless you cant stand the tone (like me) or are Cali spec 99. Other wise you need Cattmans. Hotshots are cheaper and nice but will need some modifications to fit correctly and youll end up spending as much as the Cattmans anyhow.

i am not looking for performance gains, i just want, like all of us, a little more growl outa the 3 o. I dont plan on doing much of anything to the car, its just not worth it to me. so the verdict is to just probably skip it eh? thanks guys

didnt look to be present in the other picture, might be a bad shot who knows. .

is it just me or does the y-pipe look to be too long. its usually shorter after the flex section.

y-pipe wont change much in terms of sound witht he stock catback. The reason why we do the y-pipe is for the gains (10-15WHP). If you want sound and not performance, get a catback and keep the y-pipe stock (stock design is almost equal length)
