If so, where did you install it? Mine is just sitting in the glovebox right now since I dont want to drill holes in the center console. Im looking for a nice secure spot. If I cant find one I'll get a handheld.

Oh, and before you ask - the radio is very useful on group drives (well especially when a lot of other people have one lol)

There's really not a good spot for it. If you don't use the center compartment, you could install it there, maybe. I just put mine on the seat or on the floor if I have company.

A convoy where everyone has a CB can make a long trip very enjoyable. I've been in convoys where we play Battleship while driving!

A trucker is your best friend to know where the cops are. Many times the CB has saved me before the radar even knew about it, and they're legal all over.

Yeah thats the thing - I really really dont want to drill anything.
kcryan - how did you velcro it in? Any pics?
As far as the popo - I'm on the Mass Pike a lot (live in worcester, go to school in amherst). From my experience so far truckers barely talk at all, never mind about bears... but then again I have yet to see a cruiser on that section of the road (between exits 8 and 11). I heard from others that a cb does help though, so I guess I'll just wait and see.

Pretty sweet spot but I dont think mine will fit there.
My antenna is on top of the windshield on the passenger side. The wire goes on the right between the glovebox and the pass door, then up along the pillar. I was able to tuck it in behind the plastic of the pillar.

I put mine on the trunk (but I have a tall one- I guess about 3 feet?)- magnetic mount, so when I don't need it, I just take it off.

Wow that looks GREAT, what model radio is that, and did you have to modify anything to make it fit like that?

I have been thinking about installing one in my max and here is what I was thinking:
Get the radio set-up and everything working right. Get a mic with volume and channel control/LED readout for the channels and a long cord.
Mount CB unit under seat.
DONE!
Sounded like a good idea to me, considering once everything on the radio is set all you need to change is volume and channels.

It was actually velcroed in a cheap way just sitting on the side of the center console passenger side, so i could see the top. No pics buy you can guess what it looked like, wasnt too bad. I might be looking for a CB soon, how big does the antenna have to be?

Its Cobra 18 WX ST II
It just fitted right in. I put antenna on the trunk and just lead the wire under the center console, under the pass. seat, under plastic door pannel, and under back seat. Everything took me 30 min to install.

Hehehe good question.
I got my CB and antenna from Wal-Mart. The antenna was.... I want to say $12? I like it because its on the windshield and its small - no 6' poles on the trunk. I'll post some pics whenever I get the car back

sanekb7 - did you just take the little door off, or did you take the whole little box out completely? And does anyone actually know how to take just the door off?
Right now, if I cant put it under the stereo I think I'll just get a handheld unit.

I took the whole thing out. So I had to take everything off, starting with vents in order to get to it.
