P0 1165 on a 99 Max cali-spec (OBD-II)
I am getting this code for my Max, and my OBD-II scanner catergorizes it as an airflow metering problem. I am boosted... is this to be expected on a boosted Max? What's more, precisely what is this code for? The FSM says it is for the "swirl control valve"... I am posting here mainly because I have no idea how many boosted cali-spec 99+ Maximas there are out there...

The code data that you have is correct. Take a look at this bulletin to see if this might be your problem.
If a 1995-99 Maxima has any of the following incidents:
· MIL ‘on’,
· Engine no start, or
· A/C inop, A/C idle up inop, rough idle, oil pressure light inop;
The cause may be wire breakage in the engine control harness where it bends over the right rear of the engine next to the right strut tower. See the symptom charts in this bulletin for possible diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) or specific symptoms which can cause one or more of these incidents. See this bulletin for further detail.
The bulletin number is NTB98-008B
