Driver Side Sun Visor Lights

The lights that go on when you flip open the cover on the driver side are not working on my car. It's a 97 GXE. My BCM is also fried because I tried to put a LED in the ring light and the neg. and pos. touched and the Dome light doesn't work when the doors are open. The passenger side sun visor lights do work, any input or advice please? Thanks.

What's part # on BCM and price, what year did it come out of and how many miles were on that car?

I figured out my sunvisor problem, it's the actual sunvisor that's bad

If the only problem you are having is the ignition key light and the courtesy light, it is probably not your bcm.

Are your interior spot lamps (between the visors) working? How about your trunk lamp?

Those four sets of lights run through fuse number 26 (7.5A).

That is why they have fuses; so you do not ruin expensive components or start fires when you are fooling around with vehicle electrical systems without first disconnecting the battery.

The MAP Light is working, Glove box light is working, trunk light is working. Door panel courtesy lights are working.

I know for a fact that the cigarette light, ignition light, and dome light with doors being open closed works from the BCM. A buddy of mine had a similar problem, replacing the BCM worked for him.
