does this sound norma??

My friend has a 98 gle and he was driven the car normal and the car just shut off on him couldent get it started back up.He got the car towed to a shop and they said his alt,batt,spark plugs and starter are all done and it all has to be replaced is it just me or does this sound fishy?

Tell him i will charge him half of what they charge . Sounds strange that all of that went at once but if neglected it is possible.

just reread all of the items. Hell no he is getting robbed!

umm, def think that's fishy. that's like the std stuff any shop would like to charge for. contact 2da mizzax for a second opinion

I have never heard of any situation causing all of the above to go bad at the same exact time...Alternator and battery at the same time is understandable but it wouldnt effect the plugs

its problay just the alt and battery but they pulled your plugs to make sure it wasn't fouled out and the plugs haven't been changed so they told you needed that as well.

The starter i'm not sure about that...

I guess they are covering their butts. How would you feel if this was your car and you was expected to pay lets say $400 for a new battery and alternator then get a call back saying your car starts and runs like **** you need plugs as well. Thats another $100. Its better to tell someone straight forward everythign and anything that is related if there is reason to believe it.
