The blower resistor on my max gave up yesterday and will only work on speed 4. With these cold MI winters, would I need to replace the resistor asap?

i dont know if you can tell how long you have but mine went early fall and worked on 1 or 4 the whole semester. I finally fixed it just because i dont like the fans going full blast, at the end of the semester. very easy to replace and worth it. only two screws have to be removed and then a plug then put the new one in its right under the glove box

No need to wait unless you like the full blast fan! It's very easy to fix yourself and the price is under $40 for the new resistor. Maybe take like 10-15 minutes to replace.

My resistor was bad when I bought the car. Got it shipped to me for about $35 and it was probably the easiest thing I have ever done to a car that was still worthwhile, took about 3 minutes.
