i work for circuit city on the weekends i was planning on doing just a small system two 10in. thunder 6000 small 450d mono amp two sets of thunder t6.6 coaxs thunder 4405 4 channel amp... i already have the new kenwood z828 organic display mp3 headunit.. i am just debating between getting a little carzy or saving the money and puuting into the body and suspension. all togather the mtx stuff costs me a little over 4 hundred with wiring... the stuff should be pretty loud with out rattleing the car apart or weighing it down.. but when i look at these prices i almost want to get a little crazier but then again i am not sure my car needs other work as well what do you guys think...louis

I used to work for Circuit ****ty too! Get polk Audio it lasts! I still got my dbs and the tweeters are awesome! I got my stuff in 97 or 98 and I haven't had any problems yet. As Far as a headunit I prefer Sony, I haven't had problems with them. As Far as MTX the prices you can get the stuff for are incredible. If you plan on staying on the job for a while do the exterior work first then learn how to install the stuff yourself and then just buy your sound.

did you say everything with wiring is $400? Then hell ya I'd get it. A whole system for $400 aint bad. Sometimes you gotta take the oportunities when they come by. This sounds like one of them. Otherwise, later down the road you'll be kicking yourself for passing it up.

Im not too hot on MTX but all that for $400! I would only make a few changes - 1)Go with thunder 8000 subs and 2)Make sure your thunder 6.6's have silk dome tweeters - much cleaner sound. After this stuff do some suspension mods and get the cosmetic stuff you mentioned also. Then come back for more boom!

i did plan on the 8000 subs first they are only like 30 bucks a ten but as an installer i have replaced 2 blown 8000s in the last couple of months... kinda makes me a little weary to order them... i decided to step it up, i will get 8000 components they are only 68.00 so i figured why not i am the treble rebel and for the extra 28.00 its probably worth it...louis

well.. i will jump in this too.. i work for bestbuy.. and that is why i opted to get done with my audio/video system first. he is right the prices u get make u buy the best ;-) now i am all done so coming back to the exterior which was not bad before. i went with rockford and clarion multimedia. the way how i think. try to do one at a time. if u wanna do exterior.. get done with that FIRST and that look for interior.. dont do some of this and some of that. u have too much to worry about then.. one step at a time..

I quit and start working at a professional soud shop, then get some ECLIPSE stuff on sale. Good think I'm a student, isn't it?

KICKER, KICKER, KICKER! I have been to many a sound off and the cars with KICKER components usually win and take a couple of the top 3. Kicker is unbeatable when properly done.

hmmm you can always hook me up with that kicka** system! i'd be glad to take it off your hands!
yea i'mnot into the make the earth shake crowd... get a decent system that stresses quality over volume... it'll last you a long itme you wont get bored of it... and do the simple cosmetic mods and sum handling mods too
