Im just beginning my research on possibly swapping in a Gen 5 motor into my 99 Gen 4 SE Limited Edition(ive owned the car since new, and at my rate, ill have well over 100000 miles on the block by next year.). Im presuming that it would be an easy swap..does anybody know if the engine mounts are in the same location. Or if there is already an article out there on the swap? Id like to transplant my mods on a block that already has 222HP then 191hp. Since the Gen 4 cars are lighter then the gen 5 , that engine alone would make the gen 4's fly. Let me know if you guys have any ideas or thoughts
thanks

I was thinking of putting a skyline engine into my maxima but that engine cost alot of $$ I found it for $4,500 but they couldnt tell me the miles and if it even worked. So maybe I was going to get stuck with a engine that didnt even work.

increase displacement

Im rethinking the idea of the new motor. I might just increase dispacement when I eventually do a rebuild. I see the 2002 has 3.5 liters. Maybe I can do the same. After all..more displacent = more power. Ill have to do some research on these engines to see whats different between them. Be back soon.
