Price to install Tokico HP in my 97 Max?

Hello! I bought the Tokico HP online. I don't want to install it myself. So what is the price range to install it in an auto shop?

I'd say average you are facing around $80 per shock.

I paid $125 for my shocks & springs (all 4 corners) to be installed at a local suspension shop. After realizing how easy it is though I wish I had done it myself. haha

Easy?? I wouldn't call it easy. Not the hardest job, but very time consuming. (especially if you dont have the $$$$ spring compressor).

$100 and I'll do them for you.

the spring compressor can be rented at advanced auto parts for free. The only thing would suggest is an air compressor FOR the spring compressor. But $100 is pretty cheap.

Rent the spring compressor and do it yourself. Time consuming, but you'll save some cash for stuff that you can't do yourself. At least this is how i look at it.

I agree do it yourself. Use air tools and it will make a hellofa difference time wise and getting those bolts off. You can rent a spring compressor from Advanced autoparts. Really you buy it so if you dont return it, you keep it but you gotta think your paying about 45 bucks for used spring compressors that youll only use this one time. So, just do that and get your money back and the priceless feeling you did it all on your own.

200 dollars would probably the average price if you take it to a reputable auto shop. Less than reputable shops and shade tree mechanics can probably do it for less. Since you brought the shocks online most reputable shops won't install it so basically your options are limited.

Contrary to what others have told you if you have never installed shock before I would not recommend you do it unless you have some supervision or mechanical understanding. Compressed springs are dangerous and can kill. I have personally have one fly into a wall and made a big dent in it because the spring compressor I used fatiqued and broke/snapped. Luckily I always point the spring away from any part of my body.
