i wrote a couple weeks ago about my drivers side courtesy clear corner popping out at about 120 mph. well instead of ordering the plastic plug they pop into, i tried the permanent install like on the how2 link. i went up behind the light and put a washer on the back side of the screw. well the screw was not long enough to go through the washer, through the metal openeing for the light and into the back of the light. anyone who has done this please help. do i need a longer screw? thanks for the help.

Try a rubber washer/grommet

I used a piece of rubber, that way it will flex into the hole but you don't need to get any other hardware. Make sure the piece is a lot larger then the hole and send the 10mm screw thru the rubber and tighten down, should work just fine.
